Get a free rooflight quote

Tell us about the room and the roof. We arrange a visit, measure up, and follow it with a written quote you can take your time over.

What happens after you send it

  1. We get in touch

We reply to arrange a survey at a time that suits you, usually by phone or WhatsApp.

  2. The survey

We look at the roof from inside and out, check the structure around the opening and talk through fixed and opening choices.

  3. Your written quote

An itemised quote follows: the unit, the making good, any Building Control notification, and the opening options side by side.

  4. You decide

No chasing and no deadline pressure. If you go ahead, we book a date and confirm what happens on the day.

What to tell us

A few lines is plenty. The most useful things to mention are which room it is, whether there is already a rooflight or roof window there, and what you want to change: more daylight, fresh air, or both.

  • The room: loft, landing, bathroom, kitchen extension or something else.
  • The roof: pitched slates or tiles, or a flat roof.
  • What is there now, if anything, and roughly how old it is.
  • Whether you would like it to open, and how you would reach it.

Photos help if you have them, and a WhatsApp message is an easy way to send them. If you are not sure what you have, that is fine. Working it out is what the survey is for.

What the survey covers

We measure the opening, look at the rafters or joists around it and check how the roof covering will be made good. For a replacement we look at the frame and flashing of the old unit, because that decides whether a straight swap works or the opening needs adjusting.

We also talk about air. If the room gets hot or stuffy, we show how an opening rooflight or roof window would sit, how you would open it, and where a rain sensor or a manual winder makes sense. Opening options are priced on every quote, so you can compare them properly.

What your quote includes

The quote is written and itemised, so you can see where the money goes rather than one figure at the bottom.
